Will Hall, an English immigrant, started Hall's Shoes in 1892, since then three generations of the Hall family have been providing quality shoes and service. Will Hall came to America at the age of 12 with only $5 in his pocket. After farming for several years, Will bought the Wallin Shoe stock and began Hall's Shoes. The current owner, Jerry Hall, joined his father and brother in the business in 1958. Hall's Shoes continues to operate out of its original location on Main Street in Aledo, Illinois. Hall's Shoes has been declared a "Long Term Business Success Story" by the State of Illinois.

The Illinois Historic Preservation Agency has recognized the historic value of the Hall's Shoes building, and the business itself, by developing a model of Hall's Shoes that you can build.  Click here to view details of the building architecture and download instructions for constructing the model.
